Jodee Reyes
Jodee Reyes is the Culinary Director of Abante. She oversees SOP development, COG’s management, and quality assurance. Born in Bacolod Philippines, raised in Chicago and Michigan, she moved to Denver in August 2024 to reconnect with her Filipino heritage and become part of its vibrant community. Through Abante, she hopes to share her stories, flavors, and history while celebrating the evolution of the culture through a modern lens. Her mission is to honor our history while shaping the next generation of Filipinos.

Juliane Gener
Hailing from Pontiac, MI, Juliane is the Co-Culinary Director leading R&D and menu development for Abante. Working over 10 years in the hospitality industry has taught him that food is more than just something we eat – it represents love, tradition and connection. Juliane appreciates the opportunities he’s had growing up in the States, while also feeling proud of the traditions his family has passed down to him. He hopes to continue to honor Filipino culture through Abante.
Captain Yummerz
Jose-Refugio Keoni Villalobos
Jose serves as Captain Yummerz, leading menu research, development, management, and execution. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, Jose's heritage is rooted in the Philippines and Mexico. He grew up surrounded by diverse cuisines and cultures that inspired a lifelong appreciation for food and a passion for exploring new flavors. Over the past decade, cooking has grown from a passion into a profession. Jose is excited to share his culinary creativity, knowledge, and dedication through every dish served at Abante.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Carmela Joy Vinoya
Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, Carmela has lived in Denver for over ten years and has built her career in hospitality, sales, and marketing. As Co-Owner and Director of Sales & Marketing at Abante, she combines her passion for Filipino culture with her love of storytelling, helping grow the brand through community engagement, client relationships, and authentic hospitality. Her goal is to create experiences that feel like home while introducing others to the richness of Filipino cuisine and tradition.

Nehra Awe
Nehra is the Director of Operations at Abante, where she leads business operations and guest experience. Originally from Belize, Nehra brings nearly a decade of hospitality leadership experience and a passion for building businesses that connect people through exceptional food and service. She is proud to help grow Abante’s mission of celebrating Filipino culture while creating memorable experiences for every guest.
